Our story begins in a time of peace and prosperity for humans. Both Venus and Mars have been terraformed. The natural born humans know no hunger or want. However, this was not the case for the Neosapiens. Created and bred for work in harsh conditions and feared for what they are they attempted to rebel against their human masters unsuccessfully. While they have gained some rights from that time and representation they are anything but free or happy. Their representative, the governor of Mars Phaeton uses this factor to initiate another war with the humans. He successfully takes over the homeworlds while the exofleet is away drawn away in an attempt the exterminate the threat of the Pirate Clans and enslave humanity thus beginning the main theme of our story
Exosquad is a science fiction space drama type cartoon that aired back in 1994. Set in the 22nd century the show followed the exploits of a single squad, Able squad, during a future war between humans and a genetically engineered race known as Neosapiens as they attempt to free the human race from Phaetons rule. Although the show was meant to be a kids show it attracted an older audience with it's rare complexity and continuing story line, something few shows have these days. For reasons unknown and rather irksome to it's fans the show was cancelled ending in "Beyond Chaos" on a cliffhanger. However despite this there have been a few who have devoted time and webspace to keep the flame of Exosquad alive.
